On the evening of April 17th, Pack 100 celebrated the fifth anniversary of its founding with an evening of food, entertainment and special ceremonies. The Faith United Methodist Church Men’s Group, our charter organization, barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs for the Pack and all the guests in attendance. Everyone ate to their heart’s content!

The Hitchiti Dancers performed their ceremonial dances wearing flashy Native American costumes. During part of their performance, they invited Scouts, Leaders and Family members to participate, dancing in a large circle around central performers. Everyone was smiling and having a great time while trying to master the steps and keep rhythm with the drums.

As one of many highlights of the evening, our three Scouts of Den 2 received their Arrow of Light rank badges and were greeted by Boy Scouts from Troop 215. As with all crossovers, it was a happy occasion witnessing their entrance into Boy Scouts. For Pack 100, it was particularly bittersweet as two of the original Founding Members crossed the bridge, being the first of many Scouts to make the journey from Tiger to Arrow of Light. Following the crossover ceremony, we celebrated our first group of Lions as they received their rank badges. Commemorative plaques were also presented to Chuck Emerton, thanking him for founding our Pack.

Many thanks to the Men’s Group, Hitchiti Dancers, Troop 215 and all the guests who came out to celebrate with us. We had an amazingly memorable evening that will surely be a talking point for years to come. Go Pack!
